Accommodation near Mt. Kailash

Gangdise Hotel: The price: RMB 60 yuan. It costs RMB 10 yuan per day to deposit the baggage at the hotel. Tourists can put up their own tents in the yard of the hotel if they get the permission to do that from the hotel. And they should also be charged about RMB 15-20 yuan per person. Tourists are not allowed to put up their tents in the field.

Dajin Hotel: The price: RMB 60 yuan. The hotel has power supply generated by their own electrical machine at night.

Neither Gangdise Hotel nor Dajin Hotel has dining hall, and they do not offer food service.

The tent restaurants around the hotels also offer accommodation. Generally it costs RMB 20 yuan for a bed. And it is advisable to have tea and dinner at the same restaurant because the price may be cheaper. Tourists can also buy some vegetables and other uncooked food at the restaurant, borrow furnaces and cook food by themselves.

There are some Chinese restaurants around, but the food is very expensive. There is a restaurant that sells delicious and cheap boiled dumplings. Opposite to the restaurant is the Ngari Plateau Teahouse. The sweet tea tastes good, and it is good to drink some sweet drinks to renew the energy before circumambulating the mountain.
