Tibet is a holy land for many people and a once in a life time experience for most. It is a high, dry and harsh land where political winds and cultural mixtures can sometimes obscure the sense of antiquity travelers seek. When you see magnificent Potala Palace - the world center of Tibetan Buddhism, the exciting Barkhor Bazaar, or even stand at the foot of Mount Everest, you would say: this is Tibet, this is why I came.
